Steak Recipe 1
Written by: Laura Walter
So the other day I posted on facebook and twitter asking for steak recipes. I got a few responses and I thought I would post my steak recipes here.
The other night we made a fabulous recipe...steak quesadillas.
I started off my drizzling EVOO over the steak and covering it in Mrs Dash's Southwest Seasoning Salt. This was done on both sides then put in the fridge for a few hours.
Don then grilled the steak.
Let it sit for 10 minutes or so to keep as much of the juice in the steak as possible.
Cut the steak into bite size strips
Make the quesadilla sauce:
Mix all the following together
1/4 cup mayo
2 tsp minced jalapeno slices
2 tsp jalapeno juice
3/4 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Warm up a pan large enough to hold your tortilla shell
Start by warming up a tortilla shell and setting it to the side
Begin warming up a second shell and place a handful of steak on the tortilla.
Cover the steak with cheddar cheese
Spoon the quesadilla sauce on the tortilla that was warmed up before and place on top of the other half.
Warm until cheese is melted
Serve with sour cream and enjoy!
